And at her own request, the designer Rose Repetto has designed for the Repetto company a city sabrina that is as light and comfortable as a dance shoe. The Cendrillon sabrina, which has been immortalised in crimson red for having been worn in this film, has become a mythical shoe.
In 1986, she created the Brigitte Bardot Foundation for the defense of animals, with Dalai Lama as an honorary member.
